Agrsen mahavidyalay is multipurpose job oriented college run by “Maharajadhiraj Agrasen Shikshan Samiti”, which is oriented from the “Chhattisgarhi Agrawal samaj” had a golden 300 – 400 years in Chhattisgarh. In the initial phase they were more concerned towards their livelihood. However, in the subsequent phase, they were known for their charitable deeds also. Renowed philanthropist Dau Kalyan Singh Ji, who was the paternal grandfather of Chhattisgarhi Agrawal Samaj, had made many donations in the public interest of Chhattisgarh. DK hospital of Raipur was also constructed on the land donated by the Dau ji. His biggest contribution in the field of education was the donation of 1728 Acres of land of subsistantial cash which, paved the way for the establishment of agriculture College. Taking inspiration from dau Kalyan Singh Ji Chhattisgarhi Agrawal samaj established Agrasen mahavidyalaya and J.K. Dani Vidyalaya in Raipur.
Agrsen mahavidyalays offers about 12 different courses affiliated to Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University and Kushabhu Thakre journalism and mass communication University .This is the first college in Raipur City where the results stands more than 90% in all the sessions and most of the student get employed after their study. Our Wi-Fi equipped campus is secured all the time with CCTV camera. One of our key attraction is the audio visual studio, which provides a practical platform to interact with people and expert from the various fraternities.
Our institution has been established with the aim and objective of Sankalp Sadhna and Samarpan (Determination Devoted efforts and Dedication). The basic idea behind the inception of this institution is to provide education at an affordable fee to the population living in the surrounding areas. This is also matter of pride that our institution has NAAC accreditation and also got approval from UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b) . In the year 2020, our institution also got the research centre in commerce stream from RSU, which is another laurel for this college.
The motto of the college Sankalp Sadhna Samarpan( Determination Devoted Efforts and dedication) is the main driving force for the students, to excel in various curricular and co curricular activities thus, the college aims in building an environment which creates harmony and unity in diversity ,with sporting spirit and healthy competition.
It is indeed a matter of privileges that this college is marching towards progress consistently with the optimum utilisation of the available resources and the support of the sincere and hard working students.
